FOLKLORE

The costumes of Orelle are very similar to the costumes of the other villages of the neighbourhoods (Beaune, Thyl, St Martin la Porte). It consists of a black cap with a black bonnet bordered of a tulle's pleated and decorated with laces.

Clothing and the shawls have dark colours, black or purple usually, and they were used at the end of the First World War like mourning signs.

The proximity of the imperial road and the presence of the factory of Prémont accelerated the loss of the costumes.

It's the folk group of Orelle that, since the 1987, improved the image of these costumes.
